QCinema International Film Festival reveals Lineup for 13th Edition, spotlights QCinema Industry
October 22, 2025
Quezon City, Philippines — QCinema International Film Festival (QCIFF) announces the lineup of local and international films to be screened in its 13th edition.
This year’s theme, “QC Film City,” positions Quezon City as the heart of Philippine cinema and a leading force in the country’s film and creative economies.
“This is hardly a shift in branding, but rather a declaration of what our city has been for over a century,” said Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, who expressed her support for the festival during the QCinema media conference on October 21.
Mayor Belmonte added, “We have brought QCinema to our public schools and universities in recent weeks. We are the only city that has this kind of program, and we have the moral responsibility to bring Philippine cinema to everyday people.”
QCIFF Artistic Director Ed Lejano also highlighted the programs of QCinema Industry 2025, which will run alongside the festival. “QCinema Industry serves as Quezon City’s hub for film collaboration, co-production, training, and policy exchange,” he said.
He added, “We will soon be introducing participants of the third edition of the QCinema Project Market, where we will meet 12 promising Philippine projects and 8 promising Southeast Asian projects.”
The QCinema Industry platform includes the second edition of the QCinema Asian Next Wave Film Forum, second edition of QCinema Creative Industries Day, first edition of QCinema Dokyu Day, and the recently launched Quezon City Film Market—a program connecting QC-based film and media companies with international partners.
Liza Diño, Head of QCinema Industry, shared:
“As we enter our 13th edition, QCinema is not only a festival of films—it has become a platform for building a sustainable creative city. Through QCinema Industry, we’re shaping a space where stories are not just screened but developed, financed, and brought to life through real collaboration.
This year, our focus is clear: to connect Quezon City with the world through co-productions, equity-driven film policies, and creative exchange. With the support of our partners—from the Film Academy of the Philippines to international institutions like the CNC and Busan Film Center—we are positioning Quezon City as Southeast Asia’s model film city: inclusive, globally connected, and future-ready.”
The QCinema Industry programs will be held from November 18–23, 2025, in conjunction with the QCinema International Film Festival, which runs from November 14–23, 2025.
